On Monday Trump seemed to agree with his border chief, telling reporters, “I would do it if I were Tom.”
From when they break camp around dawn until well into the night, they sing flamenco songs, many specific to each brotherhood — accompanied by guitar and rhythmic clapping. Homemade food and copious amounts of water, beer and sherry are shared with friends and strangers alike. But there are prayers at every break along the country paths, priests to hear confession at day’s end, conversations about the pope, mission trips and social outreach, even solemn Masses in the fields.

Based in a neighborhood by the same name in Seville, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) away, it’s one of the largest and oldest, founded more than 200 years ago.
Rodríguez had just helped set up Mass by the Triana “simpecado” — meaning “without sin.” It refers to their version of the icon of the Virgin, carried by an ox-driven cart covered in silver and fresh flowers. At each night’s camp, wagons are set in a circle and people gather to worship through the night.A pilgrim hugs a priest during mass on their way to the shrine of El Rocio near Aznalcázar, Spain, during the annual Catholic pilgrimage to the shrine of the Virgin of El Rocio, that draws hundreds of thousands of faithful, on June 5, 2025. He was unopposed in the Republican primary and then defeated Democrat Megan Barry — the former Nashville mayor who resigned in 2018 in scandal — by more than 21 percentage points in November 2024.Green, 60, has served since 2019 in the 7th Congressional District, which was redrawn in 2022 to include a significant portion of Nashville. The city was carved up three ways in the 2022 redistricting so Republicans could flip a Democratic district in Congress that had covered Music City, which they successfully did.
Green previously served as an Army surgeon and in the state Senate and is from Montgomery County.Green flirted running for governor in 2017, but suspended his campaign after he was nominated by former President Donald Trump to become the Army secretary. He later
