"Before my diagnosis, I was training for the Everest Marathon and to do this climb," she said.

"Then when the diagnosis struck my life, I took a sharp turn and I had to put a lot of short term plans on hold.Therefore, he said, it was "not an appropriate case" to reduce the amount of money that Mrs Vardy should pay.
