I felt awe, but also a deep sense of gratitude,” Tomé says. “I don’t know how I got so lucky to have a mom who loves me so deeply that she would spend over 20 hours creating a masterpiece in my home.”

“She really enjoyed the process and looked forward to coming here, and that made me feel so good,” she continues. “Sometimes we’d sip Aperol spritzes on a Sunday evening and chat while she painted. The next morning, it would be iced coffee and more of the same. Now, when I look at the mural, I’ll always remember those little moments too.”While the project came together beautifully, it wasn’t without its challenges. Since Rolli wasn’t painting every day or working on the mural in one continuous stretch, she had to ensure the tone, texture, and energy of the piece remained consistent throughout.
